Our Story

Born from One Simple Belief

Founded in 2017 in Reddygudem, NTR District, Andhra Pradesh, Friend Service Society began with a small group of volunteers who believed that no one in their community should go hungry, homeless, or without care.

What started as informal food distribution and elder care has grown into a full-fledged organisation running 11 active programs across multiple domains — serving thousands of lives every year.

We are not backed by corporations or foreign funding. We are sustained entirely by the generosity of people like you — local donors, well-wishers, and compassionate individuals who believe in what we do.

Built on Milestones

From a small act of kindness to a registered NGO — every year brought new programs, new lives changed.

2017

Organisation Founded

Friend Service Society registered in Reddygudem with Reg No. 53/2017 — launched with food distribution and elderly care as founding programs.

2018

Orphan Care Program Launched

Began providing residential care, schooling, and healthcare for orphaned children in NTR District.

2019

First Medical Camp

Organised the first free medical camp in Reddygudem, reaching 200+ patients with check-ups, medicine, and eye care.

2020

COVID-19 Disaster Relief

During the pandemic, FSS mobilised volunteers to distribute food kits, masks, and essential supplies to 1,000+ families.

2022

Women Protection & Skill Training Added

Expanded programs to include women's rights awareness, counseling support, and free vocational training for rural women.

2024

500+ Beneficiaries Milestone

Crossed 5,000+ total beneficiaries across all programs — a testament to 8 years of relentless work and community trust.
